Herbed Garlic Butter
I spread this on everything!  Great for Garlic toast, dotted with a little mozzarella and parmesan cheese.  Melt it over a good steak....and it's so easy to make.
The ingredients are:

1 lb. butter or margarine at room temp. (softened)
2 Tbs. grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic finely minced ( or use 1 tsp roasted garlic for an extra special flavor)
1/2 Tbs. garlic salt
1/2 tsp italian seasoning  (I used some thyme, oregano and basil to make 1/2 tsp.)
optional: 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

Mix it all together until well blended. My garlic isn't diced really fine, so if you don't like to see the bits of garlic dice it up finer.
Place it on a piece of plastic wrap and fold the wrap over it.
Now use your hand to push it and press it to make it a good tight square. Just like a stick of margarine.
Wrap it up good and tight and place in the refrigerator to firm up. At least an hour.
When it's good and firm, take it out of the wrap and place it on a butter dish. Cut in slices like you would real butter.
Try it out right away by making some simple garlic bread with cheese.  Place the slices of french bread or whatever bread you have on a broiler pan lined with foil. Broil one side till lightly browned. (image 1 below) Turn them over, and let them cool.  Then spread on your garlic butter, and top with a little mozzarella and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Broil until cheese is bubbly and bread is toasted. (image 2 below) Watch them close!  Only takes a couple minutes.
